MIX - Mt Pleasant: An Exciting Destination for Fun and Flavor

My wife and I stopped by here yesterday while in the area. And we are glad we stopped. This was our first experience playing duck pins and loved it. We loved the atmosphere, to say the least. There is plenty to do from playing duck pins, axe throwing, or wanting to play some games in the arcade. This is a great kid friendly environment that will have them busy for hours. Great staff and good food to add as well

Not sure why this place only has a 3.8, we really enjoyed ourselves when we stopped through on a whim while visiting Charleston! Service was fast and the staff made sure to check on us as we were duck pin bowling, axe throwing, and playing games in the arcade. We were there on Tuesday during $5 duck pin bowling, $5/person for 30mins of axe throwing, and $5 for an hour of arcade play, which we thought were great deals. The only con (and the reason for a 4/5 star rating) is some of the games really need a maintenance visit/upkeep. Big buck hunter didn’t register a player while playing two player, one of the basketball games’ hoop was stuck and didn’t move side to side, etc.; you get the picture, the games need some TLC. Additionally, I think it was a mechanism to ensure that guests don’t hog a game during high traffic hours, but the play card terminal would register “too many consecutive plays” or something to that effect after two turns playing a game. This was inconvenient at 9pm when we were the only ones in the arcade, but I can see where that would be fair if there was a crowd. All in all, this was a fun place that we were thankful to happen upon while in the area!

The truffle fries were not crispy enough, and barely had any truffle. Even for regular fries they were less than average. The nachos were great - large portion size and plenty of toppings. My blueberry ginger cooler mocktail was toooo sweet, like syrup. The mini bowling is a neat idea! Perfect for kids or smaller adults. Some of the arcade games do not work and we were charged for axe throwing by mistake.

Jojo was our server and she was absolutely amazing from start to finish! She was patient, kind, and attentive throughout our entire visit. Rob, the manager, also went above and beyond to make my sister’s birthday celebration extra special. The entire staff was wonderful, and the atmosphere was great. We had an awesome experience and will definitely be back!
